AeroShare Privacy Policy

AeroShare is a peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing application that prioritizes your privacy. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. This policy explains how AeroShare handles data and protects your privacy.

AeroShare is designed with privacy first. We do NOT collect:

• No analytics or tracking data - We don't use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any tracking services
• No IP addresses or location data - We don't track or store your geographic location
• No device fingerprinting - We don't collect device identifiers, browser fingerprints, or unique device data
• No personal information - No names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, or any personally identifiable information
• No cookies or persistent storage - The only data stored locally is your UI preferences (like theme selection)

AeroShare only processes information necessary for P2P file transfers:

• Temporary peer IDs - Random IDs (e.g., "aero-1234") generated for P2P connections. These are temporary and not stored on any server
• File transfer data - Files you choose to share are transferred directly between devices using end-to-end encryption. Files are never stored on any server
• UI preferences - Theme selection (dark/light) stored locally in your browser's localStorage for your convenience

AeroShare implements multiple layers of security:

• End-to-end encryption - All file transfers are encrypted using WebRTC secure connections
• Zero-knowledge architecture - We cannot access, view, or decrypt your files. Only the intended recipient can decrypt them
• No server storage - Files are never stored on any server. They exist only during the direct P2P transfer
• Temporary connections - P2P connections are established only for the duration of file transfer and then terminated

AeroShare uses the following third-party services to enable P2P functionality:

These services are necessary for P2P functionality but do not collect or store any personal information about AeroShare users.

AeroShare follows a "no retention" policy:

• No user data stored - We don't store any user information, files, or transfer logs
• Temporary data only - Peer IDs and connection data exist only during active transfers
• Local preferences only - Only UI theme preference is stored locally in your browser

Since AeroShare doesn't collect personal data, traditional privacy rights don't apply, but you have full control:

• Complete control - You decide what files to share and with whom
• No data to delete - Since we don't store your data, there's nothing to delete or request
• Local preferences - You can clear your browser's localStorage to remove theme preferences at any time

AeroShare does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected, app is compliant with children's privacy regulations by design.

AeroShare is designed for global use:

• No data stored on servers - No cross-border data transfers occur
• Direct P2P transfers - Files transfer directly between users regardless of location
• Universal privacy - Same privacy protections apply to all users worldwide

Since AeroShare doesn't collect personal data, this privacy policy is unlikely to require significant changes. However, if we update our practices or this policy, we will:

• Update "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
• Notify users through the app if significant changes occur
